In the end of April I headed back up to Seoul for Jenny's birthday. We got a hostel in Hongdae and had some drinks and went dancing. It was quite fun! But not really something I should blog about.
Before that, though, there was a big parade for Buddha's birthday. Hundreds of people participated carrying small lanterns, and huge lanterns also passed by on floats. The parade, normally a joyful event, was somber in honor of the recent sinking of the Sewol ferry. It was still beautiful and uplifting.

This dragon wiggled around, bared its teeth, and blew smoke. It also gave bedroom eyes. |
