Seollal in Seoul, Day Four

We started our last day in Seoul by checking out the Japanese Occupation Museum, housed in an old prison. That was a bit of a downer, but still definitely worth checking out. It was located by a victory arch, part of Seodaemun Independence Park, as well.

After that, we headed back downtown, passing by Gyeongbokgung again, where we caught another changing of the guard. We then wandered into Starbucks, where we braved the slightly damp weather and were rewarded with our very own rooftop garden off Gwanghwamun square.

After relaxing a bit on the roof, we checked out Cheonggyecheon stream and Jogyesa Buddhist temple. Both were very beautiful.

Our final stop was the Unhyeongung Royal Residence near the hanok village, where we then killed some more time with a coffee before heading back to the KTX station to return to Daejeon.

This whole trip was a great experience, and I'm really glad that I had the opportunity to spend some time having fun in Korea. It made coming back from my beautiful vacation a lot easier, for sure. I also was in great company, so who could ask for more? (Except for possibly a bit of clear weather!)
