Seollal in Seoul, Day Two

On our second day in Seoul, we first took the cable car up to Namsan mountain to visit Seoul tower. This was a cool area. There were many views of the huge city and the mountains around it to take in, as well as several people running games and activities. There were also, probably close to literally, a hundred thousand love locks fastened on everything to which it is possible to fasten a lock. Cell phone cases sometimes stood in for people who had come unprepared. A little bear mascot adorably advised the best way to fasten one's locks. It was very cute.

After finishing on the mountain, we walked down on the other side of it and found a few monuments and such. Then, we headed to Gangnam (Oppa!) and walked along the Han River for several hours. It was a beautiful setting. We checked out the Senate building right as the sun was setting, and then crossed the river and caught the metro to Itaewon, where we again ate dinner before heading back to the hotel.
